Getting StartedThe first thing you need to do is to buy a hatchet, or if you like to call it, an axe. To start, you have to use an iron hatchet which has 0 requirements to handle. These cost 56 gp. While you're at it, you might as well buy a rune hatchet to for 12,800 gp. Equip the iron hatchet and bank your rune hatchet.

The Willow tree is marked in green on the map above. You will get 41 woodcutting in this process so when you do, you can now use a rune hatchet.
